Delete your Aurant account
You can delete your Aurant account at any time, in the app or by writing to us. This page explains how, what is deleted, and the few records we have to keep.
Delete your account in the app
In the Aurant app for iPhone and Android:
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap Settings.
- At the bottom of Settings, tap Delete my account. The app shows what will be deleted before you go on.
- Confirm with your password. If your account was created with Google or Apple and has no Aurant password, type DELETE instead (SUPPRIMER if the app is in French).
Your account is deleted straight away. The app signs you out, and we send a confirmation to your email address.
On the web: the Aurant web app does not have a button to delete your account yet. If you only use Aurant in a browser, write to us as explained below.
Delete your account without the app
Write to hello@aurant.io from the email address you use to sign in to Aurant, with the subject Account deletion request. Writing from that address shows us the request is yours. We then delete your account and its data as described on this page.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently deletes:
- Every workspace you own, including your Personal space, and everything in it: files and videos, folders, galleries and share links, transfers, file requests, portfolios, custom domains, clients, projects, tasks, and your studio data (leads, bookings, contracts, questionnaires, messages and automations).
- Your membership of other people’s workspaces. Their workspaces and files stay with them.
- Your notifications and notification settings, the devices registered for push notifications, and access tokens such as the one the Lightroom plugin uses.
- Last, the account itself. You can sign up again later with the same email address.
Links you shared with your clients stop working.
Paid plans are cancelled immediately, with no refund for the rest of the current billing period. If the payment provider can’t cancel your subscription, nothing is deleted and you can try again.
Deletion can’t be undone.
What is kept, and why
Some financial records must be kept for accounting, tax and other legal obligations. They are kept separately, no longer linked to you, and can’t be reached from Aurant:
- Invoices you issued to your clients, their payments, refunds and purchase receipts. Open invoices are voided, so no more reminders are sent and their payment links stop working. Pending payments are cancelled.
- Aurant’s own billing records, such as what you paid Aurant for your plan and for website credits.
- In other people’s workspaces, the activity history keeps what you did there, shown as “Deleted account” instead of your name.
If you connected a payout account (for example Stripe) to receive client payments, it is disconnected from Aurant and its connection details are erased. The account at the payment provider stays yours.
The accounts your clients use to sign in are not deleted, because a client may also work with other studios. They are only unlinked from your workspaces.
If you own a team workspace
If other people are still active members of a workspace you own, the deletion stops and the app tells you which workspace. Aurant can’t transfer a workspace to another owner yet, so remove its other members first (in the workspace’s team settings), then delete your account.
Pending invitations don’t block the deletion: they are deleted with the workspace.
